Cluthas-Cave grew from a hobby of crafting jewellery, mostly necklaces and bracelets. One day my daughter asked me to design a set of prayer and meditation beads which she felt it was possible our Celtic ancestors may have used and from that grew: Druid Beads, Celtic Beads then a Wiccan Bead set and shortly a Birthing and Bonding strand which works on the energy centres of the body.

About five years ago someone asked me if I could make a cream or a lotion for them, they were suffering from  eczema and had been using steroid creams  from their Doctor and found their skin had become thin and was now reacting in a negative way. I have used natural things, herbs, essential oils and even homoeopathy in the past to help heal so the search began to find a recipe which might help. Its important not to stop using medication from a G.P. so I always encourage people to follow their doctors instructions and go and talk things over with him. I came up with a base cream and using essential oils made the first batch of "Clutha's Healing Cream". This was taken by the client to their doctor who looked at the ingredients and said there was nothing in the cream that would do any harm and to give it a try. 

The Healing Cream was a success and it was followed by a "Healing Body Butter" for very sore dry and inflamed skin conditions and again this was a winner. Since then I have been working with a company in England who have been making organic skin products and I have now developed a whole list of different essential oil blends and asked the company to make my recipe up in bulk. The Body Butter is now in use as a base to all their products as well as my healing blends:-)

Blends include: "Be Healed" for bad skin conditions, "Freedom" for stress problems and as an aid to healing; "Love" for relaxation and help with all kinds of emotional problems, "Breezy Woodland" a fresh wake up aroma which is very good at helping chesty colds; "Faery Kisses" a light refreshing blend with a touch of something which guards against urinary tract problems, good for toddlers and folks of all ages; "Forest Elf" is a light woodland smell that makes an excellent blend for after shave balm. (ask if you'd like some); "Inderial"a special blend for anyone from the cradle to the grave, made first for a baby's naming ceremony; "Spirited" is a perfume blend of essential oils which I have added to different products, it has a very long staying power and is a very mystical and spiritual aroma; "Foot Ease" as the name suggests made to combat foot problems; "Sport Ease" into an organic white base I have blended several different essential oils known to aid recovery from injury, nerve pain and muscle problems; "Energise" is my newest healing blend to help people who suffer from chronic fatigue, and with regular use these oils are said to be very beneficial. 

And the latest in the line for the more feminine is a rich, thick "Night Cream" with a mix of essential oils known to be useful in treating sleep problems and insomnia, at the moment its working name is "Sleep" but no doubt this will change eventually.

All the creams are now made under licence in controlled conditions, we have a range of different base creams into which I can blend pure organic essential oils.
